Sea Kayaking in Sydney

Gabe took us kayaking from Spit Bridge to celebrate completion of her PhD.

The group - Lisa, Selena, Wayne and Gabe. Lisa watching Spit Bridge open up.I put my Kodak DC3200 in a plastic bag so it would be vaguely waterproof. So I get these blurry images but my camera survived. Lisa just as we left Spit Bridge. Nope, camera in bag doesn't work at all. Gabe and Selena. New camera being used from a kayak... the newness wore off pretty fast. Wayne looking all hard and keen. Action woman.Going sea kayaking in Sydney in apparently one of the things she's been planning to do once she finished her PhD. So here we go. Just around the first point I stopped and got my decent camera out. This is me risking a day old camera in a sea kayak... it's not even vaguely water or sand resistant. The water was surprisinglg clear. These are some sort of oyster by the look of it, and the shells are very sharp to walk on (I have cuts on my feet to prove it). The kids leaving the lunch spot and heading back. Lisa paddling back - a long, slow upwind grind. I got to do it twice, as I left my other camera on the beach where we had lunch. This is the point where I discovered that fact... a bonus half hour of paddling. Even that was actually quite fun, once I'd recovered my camera.
