Sydney RTS - Day of the Dead

Reclaim The Streets Sydney action in solidarity with protests against the meeting of the death-bringers in Cancun, Mexico. Right now the WTO meets there to decide whether things like water and medicine should be affordable in the global south or not. If not, more peoeple die so that corporations aren't "unjustly" denied profits.

The theme was day of the dead, and it was a very successful RTS with many in costume, great theme music and a peaceful time had by all. We left Belmore Park at about 1:30pm and wandered around town for a bit before stopping in George St (conr Market St, right in the middle of the main road).

The party went on there until about 5pm, when we moved off to Hyde Park for a bit. Post-RTS parties at The Balloon Factory, Sydney Park and other places.
