I saw a link to this posted to a mailing list and thought I could chop it up a bit to make it look better. Without asking the original photographer, of course. First/left, the original at half size so it fits on the page better. The billboard seemed like a distraction, as did the aerial farm. So I cropped them out. Then I cloned out the tops of the UFO and faded the remaining aerial a bit. That's the first modified image. Starting again I cropped harder and just smoothed the noise to get the final image. Purists will appreciate the failure to use cloning or curves, I'm sure, but I'm not convinced that it's a stronger image.
