Renegade Parade!

Email Moz

From the organisers: The Renegade Parade has been organised to empower and give the voice back to our community. To celebrate our power, diversity and unity in a fun carnival atmosphere. In stark juxtaposition to violent racist divisive events like the Cronulla riots, Renegade parade seeks to unite the community to celebrate our diversity and object to the real threats to our community: racism, prejudice and exploitation.

As announced around the place: Indymedia (again) OhmsNotBombs Active

There'll be more followup on Indy I'm sure: Sydney Indymedia

The van - the cops had a list of 16 rules that we had to obey, and so the van couldn't be in the parade, and poles over 2m had to go on the van not in the parade. Etc etc, ad infinitum. But it did mean that we had no hassles with the Police on the day. The truly impressive pirate ship at rest in Sydney park.
