Cabramatta/Vietnamese New Year

Email Moz

Phuong took us out to Cabramatta for Vietnamese New Year and shopping.

Chinese new year in Sydney. Phuong liked the dog. Really good vegetarian Vietnamese restuarant in Cabramatta called "The Colour of Love". Food excellent, name mediocre :) A gate. Some people. We got there just after the fireworks. Food carving. Food carving. Martial arts display. Vietnamese studnets association from one of the uni's, Phuong knew people here. Free helium-filled balloons. Thanks to Rani we have now all heard the Indonesian national anthem sung in chipmunk. Mmmm, cute asian babes... Phuong modellling some of her mother's shoes. Shopping! Dragon dancers and fireworks. How to feel like a tourist in a nominally white, ex-British colony. Luckily Phuong speaks Vietnames (and they all speak English, but that doesn't necessarily made big dumb white guys feel better). The "disco dragons", according to Phuong who used to be in the team in the previous shots. A bit fluoro for her. Shopping. It's the year of the pig. Or maybe that was last year. BDWG.
