The Greens launched their bike policy - more bicycle infrastructure, recognition of bikes as eligable for the same subsidies and tax breaks as other vehicles get and so on. It sounded like a lot more than the one line bicycle apartheid in their official document: develop national planning guidelines for new housing developments that require: ... segregated bicycle paths and footpaths; but good luck finding it on their site.
The launch was pretty well attended, 30-odd cyclists turned up for a ride from newtown to Sydney Town Hall where Kerry Nettle and Jenny Leong from The Greens spoke as well as the pres of BNSW and Andrew the pedicab man.
